Paper Doll Project

Today I'm participating the Paper Doll Project put on by Suze from Miss Vinyl Ahoy.

We were partnered up with other participants, and dressed around a single item of our choice.  My lovely partner, Kelsey from Snappy Casual, put my outfit together around this big, floral cocktail ring.

Cool Blues

I went with all one color, but with different hues in my outfit for a bachelorette party this past weekend.  I wore teal, turquoise and royal all in one swoop!   I'd never done that before.  All blues!

 And because it was pretty warm this weekend, I went bare legged, and I was pretty exceited about that I guess...

Favorite Blogger Outfit: Mixing Patterns

This outfit has me screaming for spring to get here already, but also the perfect little outfit to wear now, and later, sans tights & cardi.  Love love love the peek of polka dots mixed with a floral dress.  The wear now part comes in those adorable thick tights and sweater cardi. Gee from Sock Monkey and Gee looks fab!

Lemon & Lime.

Remember when I was envious for a fabulous green room?   Well, I finally got my own.  My very own pretty green room - kelly green with a touch of chartreuse. The actual paint is by Behr and color is Pepper Grass. The room is my lime.

And I am the Lemon.

Look at my NEW leopard belt! I love it so much, I wore it with this gray and white dress. I liked the mix of patterns and that it was a bit clashy!  I'll probably be wearing this belt a lot...

Major Orange Crush

It started with some orangie/coral heels, then a skinny belt, nto nail polish, then lip stick...now I'm craving some orange for my closet.  It's official - I'm Orangified!

You almost, almost, don't even notice the crappy paint job and little nubbin' nails with this Revlon "Craving Coral" Nail Polish painted on.  Looks a lot more orangey than red in person, sans harsh flash (not winning any photog awards on that pic)

If you can avoid looking up my nose, you might see my fun painted pucker - oooo love that Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren.  And it even lasted through my morning coffee, bagel and into the afternoon!

J.Crew Maritime Dress

Like I said on Wednesday, the first day after the 30 day remix challenge and shopping-band, I ran out to J.Crew and purchased the J.Crew Stripe Painter's Tee & this lovely, so fun, perfectly striped Maritime Dress that I have been drooling over.  And, I think this dress was meant for me, just a little bit...

I was allowed to shop again, so I hurried to J.Crew on my way to yoga class.  I didn't see the dress with all the newer arrivals, so asked the SA near the front.  She said that Kansas City stores hadn't received this dress yet. Bummer!  I said, well, I guess I can order it online. Then she checked and found that it wasn't available there anymore - on back order until late March, or about. Now I was feeling super sad. I'd been waiting to get this!

But then another sales attendant overheard us, and said - We just had someone return this dress, in size Large. I perked up and said, that might be perfect!

I tried it on and worked great!  This dress definitely runs a little bit big & the Medium might be better, but I like the way the large is looser (and longer) on me.  So depending on what you are going for, you might want to size down.

The Bachelor Recap: Shopping Episode 8

The girls all looked casual and down to earth on their hometown dates.

Ashley was layered up, but under her coat, scarf and top layer was a cute short sleeve, slouchy white top with an exposed zipper on the back.  I love this top!  A similar zipper back tee below is under $8!

Shawntel started her date out at her funeral home.  Yikes! I was getting the creeps just watching the tour of the "prep" area...  But she looked cute, and I guess appropriate, in a black fitted long sleeve dress. Similar looking dress via Shopbop (which, if you won this giveaway, you could put it towards).

Miss Emily and her darling, sweet little daughter hung out with Brad at park and their home.  While I watched Brad blow the date by not kissing Emily, I was channeling Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, and was singing, "just kiss the girl".  And then she kissed him, and all is right in the world.

I think her double wrap, black studded belt is by Free People (however, those jean shorts are absolutely ridiculous), it's currently available in gold or a similar options for sale here.

Now on the hunt for Emily & Ashley's amazing rose ceremony dresses...

Emily's ruffle one-shoulder, blue dress is adorable.  It's very similar to Lisa's pretty blue dress she wore on the first night of this season's The Bachelor.  This dress is either by or verrrry similar to this one by Jasz Couture:
