Favorite Blogger Outfit: Mixing Prints

Liz at Reston Style is one of my favorite bloggers!  She has great style.  I LOVE the way she mixed stripes with her printed skirt.  I have a similar skirt (maybe the same one) that I'm totally going to wear with stripes.

I also particularly love the pop of color on her lips and her tall socks peeking out from her boots! :)

Favorite Blogger Outfit: For the Love of Color

A day late, again, due to all the Bachelor finale and After the Rose stuff!  Lots of good fashion, so check it out if you haven't yet!

This outfit screamed to me!  I LOVE all the mixture of bold colors mixed together for one fabulous outfit.  It's bold, but sophisticated, pretty and fun at the same time.  I wonder if I can pull this off... I'll definitely try! Keiko Lynn is already a well know blogger, and I guess, this is why:

This outfit has me screaming for spring to get here already, but also the perfect little outfit to wear now, and later, sans tights & cardi.  Love love love the peek of polka dots mixed with a floral dress.  The wear now part comes in those adorable thick tights and sweater cardi. Gee from Sock Monkey and Gee looks fab!

Favorite Blogger Outfit: Sweet Polka Dots

Just like I said last week about avoiding J.Crew on this shopping band, I've also been avoiding Anthroplogie - my other favorite place to shop.  But just like the Maritime dress, once this shopping band is over, I'm definitely checking out this Take Action dress I've seen on several cute bloggers.

And Kim from Anthroholic looks so stinkin' cute in this dress and the way she styled it up, that I can hardly wait to go check it out in person!  I love this polka dot dress layered over her lace top and pop of yellow in the shoes.  So perfectly cute.

Favorite Blogger Outfit {One Day Late}: Winterizing J.Crew Spring

Ok, I have a confession to make.  I have been avoiding J.Crew like the plague!  Not even a peak onto their site or a walk by the store.  I'm on a spending freeze, you know with this Remix Challenge. And J.Crew is my one biggest weakness.  If I were to even just "look", something would come over me, select, purchase, pay and it'd arrive without me even realizing I'd broken my rule!

So I'm almost done with this Remix Challenge, and I can see the light.  I can tell you the first thing I'm going to buy.  I'm literally counting the hours until I can place my order to get this fabulous J.Crew dress that YogaGirl (and one of the first J.Crew bloggers I started following a couple years ago) is not only looking adorable in, but fabulously winterized!!  Ah, love it...

Favorite Blogger Outfit: Mad for Plaid

This week's favorite blogger outfit was easyyyy! I was immediately in love with Virginie's plaid, furry, maroon, and sherling outfit.  What a perfect winter-chic outfit!  Virginie is also participating in the Remix Challenge so many bloggers are doing at Virginie's Cinema.

I can't wait till this challenge is over for me, so I can recreate this look with my maroon gap skirt last seen here and my plaid button down last seen here.  But for now, I'll just stare at Virginie...

Two of my favorite things are bright, fun tights and stripes.  While doing an inventory of the tights that are still intact (run and hole free), I discovered a new color I need!  Bright teal... A la Brittney at A Day in the Life Too rocks this colored leg (and stripes), and I'm totally smitten!

Sometimes I pick out my outfit solely around a certain accessory or pair of shoes!  In this case, I can only dream of all the fun outfits I'd wear with Pamela's cute shoes (that I may just break down and get them myself some day):

I've been seeing quite a bit Fair Isle lately, and I love it.  Nothing says winter snow bunny and staying cozy better.  I have been on the look out for one my self that includes gray and black with a bit of a pop of color in cardigan form.  Cathy from Fashionably Southern mixed her sweater with stripes and I love the look!  I want to mix my future Fair Isle sweater with my sequin skirt. :)

Um. I am so loving this outfit, and so excited, because I have all similar pieces that I can completely copy and do myself!!  This is the perfect winter, blingedy-bling look.  Warm and shiny. Chicfaced is definitely chic (and creative)!

I love all the mixtures of patterns, textures and level of fancy.  It's subtle enough to all work together, but unique enough to be interesting.  Miss Veronika from Veronkia's Blushing never fails to give us good outfits, and this one just happens to be one of my fav (maybe b/c I'm majorly crushing on gingham print):

I love the art of layering.  When you can bring a summer piece into winter by layering, just extends the the life of a piece and the closet options!  Not all things can be layered up though, and it can be hard.  That's why I love finding inspiration in this department...and blogger Carrie from A Simple Life is definitely an inspiration:

Oh readers.  If I had a Zara near me, I'd be running as fast as I can to the store to get this absolutely adorable lace dress that Rosa from Love at First Shop is rocking.

Lace is so fun right now, and I for one am totally ok with white all year around.  She wears her white lace dress over thick black tights for a great way to take this dress into winter (next, just add tall boots and a top under layer)!
