whiter shade of pale

I love shoes that go with everything and are comfortable, if you've been reading my blog for a while I'm sure you'll have noticed I have a few pairs I wear all the time. Cue white plimsolls. I had a pair last Summer I wore for so long that one day my Mum took them off my feet while we were out and chucked them into the nearest rubbish bin - I had to spend the rest of the day barefoot. I didn't really mind, as being barefoot is the best and white plimsolls are just about the cheapest shoe ever! I always take the laces out because I'm too lazy to tie them. Anyway, I bought a new pair this week and you'll inevitably be seeing them a lot in the coming Spring. This is another floral dress of the kind I love, it's an old M&S one with almost bodice like features at the sides with pretty ties. I feel so comfortable in dresses like this. And here is a new basket I was given, it's nice as my other one can feel a bit big sometimes.

I had a driving lesson today, fitted in amongst various shop bits and bobs and I'm looking forward to a nice lie in tomorrow before heading down to the shop to oversee the workmen and stuff! It's safe to say I'm feeling a little stretched at the moment, there is so much to juggle about!

girl like a timebomb

Hello everyone, wowza, almost at 1000 followers! I'm so terribly excited and grateful. It really means a lot to me. A big hello and hug to all the new readers!

I didn't end up going to London today, but instead mooched around closer to home and got some cool things for the shop. I promise I wear lots of layers when I go out, I'm not completely crazy! I feel like I should be at a music festival some time in the early 70s in this outfit. This top is so perfectly sweet, it's a vintage M&S one. I love old M&S things - it was so well made! I'm never going to take this necklace off! Well, I guess I will at some point, but no time soon! It's so tiny and delicate, I can remeber being about 8 and my parents giving it to me, it goes with anything because it's so small.

Me and my sister are going to watch Role Models tonight, (I've developed a huuuge crush on Paul Rudd since our comedy fest) and later I'm going to re-decorate my bedroom wall. I got so fed up of my collaged wall, actually I kind of hated it the minute I'd done it, so in a mad moment I just ripped it all off last night. I'm thinking fairy lanterns and, oh I dunno, Paul Rudd posters?

flower tattoo

Hola guapas! How are your weeks going? Well, I hope!

This is another one of the tops my Nan gave me. She is the coolest cat, I swear! She has an all in one leopard jumpsuit and cat eye sunglasses! I want to be her! Love you Nan!! Not that she has a computer or anything, but I just thought I'd put that out there :). Anyway, yes, this top is so loose and floaty and very see through, but I don't mind. It's floral! I'm so glad I got this skirt too because sometimes I don't want to wear shorts. Skirts and dresses are so much more comfortable, and this one goes with loooaaads. 

Do you like my tattoo? Haha. It's not real. I have a hefty collection of transfer tattoos (a rather passionate love of mine) and every now and then, I'll whip one out for fun. I would seriously consider getting this one done. Hmmm, I'll be 18 this year, why not do something crazy? 

My Dad says I remind him of Jane Birkin in these photos! Sometimes it's easy to forget that our parents were teenagers when icons like Jane were in their element, so so cool! I wish I could go back in time really. Sorry, I'm rambling.

Been spending today getting things like a counter design made for the shop and deciding what our logo will look like!

day of fun

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm having a D.O.F. with my sister today (that stands for Day Of Fun in my family). We're having a major comedy fest tonight. Anchorman, Role Models and Austin Powers with a big bowl of popcorn. Ahhh life is good :)

I'm wearing my crochet dress again, sorry! I put this gypsy skirt on over it though because it's far too cold and I'm not sure my Mum would let me out in a holey dress in this weather. Mothers eh?! I literally cannot wait until it's warm again. I want to go bare-legged, shoe free and coat-less! The thing is, my wardrobe doesn't really change that much with the seasons. Practically everything I own is more suited to a warmer climate, but I just bundle on all the layers before I go out and have a hefty collection of 100 denier tights!
