Polyvore Look time

Hello lovelies!
I have finally gotten around to creating my first Polyvore look. Its not as good as what I would have wanted it but I am nearly satisfied. I kind of lost patience in between :P
But this is the look I'm coveting right now. A glittery-glam dress with a golden base, a biker leather jacket to give it a slightly grunge look. The black Louboutin booties in the set are perfect for this look simply because they soothe the effect of the golden glitter on the eyes with its suede. I've picked two bags with the look because of the simple fact that the bag I include in an ensemble depends largely on my mood. For an edgier look, I would include the Red Chanel suede bag and on a more not-so-experimental day, I would go with the lip-shaped clutch with the embellishments. Its safe and chic. Red lip color from Clarins is my next essential. I will get around to including that in my real life too, hopefully :D
Big shiny studs are doing it for me this season and hence I picked these plain gold square studs. No explanation required for the Chanel le Vernes black nail color, midnight Poison by Dior and the Dior Smoky Mania palette. For a more Lady GaGa day, I would also inclue the Jackie O sunglasses a la Victoria Beckham. Tell me what you think :) Share the love ladies and like my Facebook page on the sidebar of the blog.
Keep it stylish! :)
XOXO

Leather Jackets are fashion essentials

“Long hair minimizes the need for barbers; socks can be done without; one leather jacket solves the coat problem for many years; suspenders are superfluous.” ~ Albert Einstein

I had always adored leather jackets and I see them as a fashion essential. Bikers, rock stars, punks, metal heads and goths usually wear leather jackets probably because of the intimidating look that these jackets create and the protection that they give. But for a non-goth fashionista, a leather jacket means cool. It transforms an outfit into something incredible.

Living in the tropics gives me an excuse not to wear leather jacket; the temperature usually hits as high as 40-42 degrees in this country and thus sporting a leather jacket is hardly an opportunity. However, when I get to move to Europe, leather jackets would definitely be my most favorite apparel.

Here are some of the leather jackets that I covet. I found my first choices very expensive thus prompting me to look for alternatives that are more affordable.

(everything thrifted from head to toe)
vintage leather motorcycle jacket, vintage off white sheer lace dress, vintage white tutu slipdress, DIY turban wrap, vintage bangles, blak Nine West lace up booties, vintage cross necklace, vintage pearls and black and white socks
My favorite thrift store had 50% off coupons in the mail so I had to take advantage. Found this leather jacket for $11 but wait it's 50% off. I got if for only $5.50!! I love a good buy, what can I say!! I needed a new leather jacket anyway since all my old ones have fringe on them. I'm so into the leather and lace so I immediately paired it with this angel sleeve lace dress. It was sheer so I added my white tutu slipdress. It makes any dress go POW! Went and did some shots in my creepy backyard behind my studio! Enjoy!
Gotta give thanks to my new blog friends. I love all your comments and I'm working on answering a few questions too! Check back soon cause you don't wanna miss out now that the sun's out again!

Gimme a break, dude....

(everything thrifted from head toe)
vintage black leather studded cropped jacket, DIY studded blue faux denim slouchy boyfriend blouse, sheer dots stockings, DIY silver crosses and chains, vintage gold cuff, vintage DIY studded cutout lace-up booties, DIY black head wrap and vintage metallic neon clutch purse
So from time to time I like to make my own clothes outta of old stuff. It's all about the blue boyfriend shirt for spring, so I decided to put my own spin on it. The shirt was huge so I just cut the shoulders out so it can slouch more like a dress. The edges were so jagged that why I lined it with studs. BHA-BAM, you got yourself a dress. The mini studded leather jacket I've had for a while. Found it at Buffalo Exchange for like 11 bucks. I LOVE a good find. The shoes are actually a project I'm working on. Been studding a lot of shoes (may sell them on etsy, i dunno) for fun to pass time. Since I don't have a car. But I have good news. I'm going shopping this weekend so be prepared to see me in action, well pictures, LOL! Maybe I can get a sweet deal on a new fur to add to my collection for next year! Definately upgrading my spring stuff. It's almost March so I'm getting stocked up to start selling again. Anywho, until next time!
