Spent a lovely morning knitting in bed with a mocha! How sad am I?! It's so addictive, I'm making a scarf (terribly complex, you know) and want to get it finished before it gets too warm! Then we went down to the shop to see how the floor was coming along - it's done! It's a great colour and looks like it's been down there for years - I love it! The changing room was being constructed this afternoon and hopefully we'll get the lighting done this week. It's great to see it coming to life and it's all happening so quickly! So far, so good! It's very tiring though - me and my Mum were up until 1 last night looking at light fittings!

Took some snaps in the wind today in front of a lovely phone box before heading off to get a Mint Frappe form Nero's. Why did we get rid of all the cool old English stuff like the red London buses and phone boothes like these? They were so iconic and lovely and perfectly British. It's sad to see them rusting away in forgotten corners. Anyway, I threw on an old stripey jumper and tights today for fear of being splattered by paint in the shop! I know I tend to wear longer skirts and dresses but sometimes it's nice for a change to wear something shorter. I've had this black pea-coat for years now, like these shoes, it goes with anything. I'm wearing my Urban Revisions snood again, I love the colour and it's already shredded so if it snags in my basket it doesn't matter. I bought some amazing jeans today, they're so 70s - flared at the bottom and that gorgeous deep-blue denim. They are now my one and only pair of jeans. I have so many nice tops and don't always want to wear skirts with them, so these are perfect!
Oh by the way, I'm so pleased I got this basket! I like it so much I've put all my handbags into our shop stock (not the Chanel before you get your hopes up!) I will never look at a bag in the same way! It's ironic really because in the old days real flower girls used to carry flowers around in baskets.
