Totally Russian | Highlights of MFW (made the jacket)

Fur Collar Khaki Jacket by VASILIEVA

Gloves H&M

I just loved walking around Moscow during the Fashion Week. Exploring the city and its fashion trends. Well, I didn't really get too far from the Red Square, but I sure was able to spot some of the traditional Russian folk dresses are accessories. Just look at all these colours, beading and golden trims. This sort of heritage is truly unbelievable and I'm so honoured to be a part of it. Every time I see this bright red, green, blue and yellow colour palette I get so inspired and so emotional at the same time. It seems like Russian culture has so much to offer especially to the fashion world and yet it is so sad as to how little fashion comes from here. Well, surely I did see some great designers during the fashion week, but it just feels like there has got to be so much more to offer. Well, anyway, I will be hoping for the best and will definitely to share the news with you.

As for the rest of the photos, I finally had a chance to shoot one of my Winter Collection signature pieces. The khaki jacket with fur collar. This jacket has been my best friend during the entire stay in Moscow as it was freaking freezing there. I wore it with leggings and a pair of sheepskin boots. As i was killing my feet wearing heels during the shows, I had to stick with the flat boots for the Red Square walks.

Cannot wait to hear from you guys what you thought about the jacket and thank you for all your lovely comments.

Much love
Elena
