1.Where do you live?
- Vienna, Austria2. Do you work/study/... ?
- I go to college in Vienna (communications/business major) and work part-time, either as a waitress or different at promotional events.
3. What's your personal life motto?
- Home is where you make it. I have moved so much and I love to travel and as long as you are surrounded with people you truely love, you will have a great time, no matter where on the planet you are!!
4. Your favourite book?
- Because most of my reading now-a-days consists mostly of college stuff but I still remember when I was in middle school and LOVED "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants". A book about true friendship!!
5. Your favourite band/musician/..?
- I am honestly THE worst at chosing favorite anythings!! I tend to have phases and have different songs on repeat non-stop until I find something new to obsess about :) I don't generally like specific musicians or bands because I tend to fall in love with certain songs. However, one band I will never grow sick of is Coldplay!! (Saw them live last summer and it totally rocked my world!!)
6. The "soundtrack of your life" [at the moment] ?
- Right now?! Obsessed with the opening song of the Burberry Prorsum show from London Fashion Week.
7. Why did you start your blog [and when]?
- I started last February, mainly because I love love looove to talk and also because it's nice to look back on things like my travels. I had been reading different blogs (mainly Cupcakes & Cashmere) for a while before and thought, why not? :) Easy as that!
8. Do you think that your blog will help you in your further career?
- I think it might, just because it shows that if I love doing something, I am willing to invest a lot of time into it without actually getting paid. Not that I don't want to get paid later on at my job, but I think it shows commitment to post almost daily.
9. How did you choose your blog title?
- Two of my biggest loves in life (besides my boyfriend of course) are fashion and travel. The "Bikinis" represents the fashion aspect and the "passports" the travel part of it. Does that make sense? :)
10. How do you take your pictures?
- It's depends on where I'm at. In Vienna my best friend Sophie takes almost all of them, at home with my parents my little sister is my helper and if I am totally desperate my boyfriend has to jump in. (Even though it's not exactly his favorite thing, I'm very impatient.)
11. Your favourite blogs?
- Like I said, not the best at picking favorites but at the moment I loooove scandinavian bloggers and I acutally just discovered a lot of austrian blogs which I really enjoy reading. For most of my favorite picks, check my blogroll.
12. What does fashion mean to you?
- To me fashion is a form of expression. It doesn't matter if you could care less about the jeans you slip on in the morning or if you would do nothing rather than spening every last penny on designer items. It still expresses something about the person you are and I could people watch for hours, thinking about the story behind the clothes. To me fashion isn't what I like to wear or what the magazines say is "in" at the moment. If you love something, wear it and feel amazing in it. Whatever makes you happy!
13. Do you think that a lot of people are often too superficial?
[cause I think that the world's getting too superficial]
- I don't like it when people think a certain bag or pair of expensive shoes makes them something better, but I also think that it's up to each person to decide for themselves how they want to spend their money. They just shouldn't judge other people if the want to spend it differently.
14. Which city is the most fashionable city?
- You know how they always say New York? Well I wasn't all that impressed when I travelled there this summer. Honestly, I really liked the way people dressed in London, but then again, that's just my opinion.
15. What's your personal "To Do List" for the next years/your further life?
- Stay healthy, finish my education, spend time with my family, travel a lot and I find a job where I can spend every day doing something that I love!!
16. Your personal key pieces for fall?
- Warm, oversized sweaters and tights.
17. Do you agree with all the "trends" or are there some things that you would never ever wear?
- I think it's important to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. For example, everyone was loving the cropped tops this summer, well I don't neccessarily love my tummy showing so that's a trend I probably wouldn't go for.
- I adore silky, flowy tops and blouses. They work for fancier occasions but you can also wear them with jeans and flats for running errands. Apart from that, my sweats and P.J.s :) Nothing beats being comfy while reading magazines on the couch!
19. Your favourite brands/shops?
- I have to say, I'm a little Zara addict!! Whenever I look at my closet I think I might as well be a walking Zara add. However, nothing beats spending hours in a little boutique, each piece different from the other and NOT meeting 10 other girls on the way to class, wearing the same thing. Other faves: Topshop, Asos, LF stores, Forever 21, ...
20. Do you think that there are a lot of clothing differences between Europe & America?
- Yes and no. I don't like to gerneralize but I do think that some of the style in America tends to go more towars the very-well-put-together-and-planned-the-night-before look while Europe seems more like an anything-goes place. But again, there are always exeptions and it's very hard to generalize for continents.
Well that's it :] I hope you like the post & please check out her blog :]
Have a lovely day,
